Idiopatic Megacolon

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of idiopathic megacolon in adult treated successfully by Swenson pull through operation
is reported.
The patient was a 66y. old male who has suffered from the constipation and the abdominal
distention since about 5 ys. ago.
The operative findings were as follows:
1. Diameter of the distended loop; about 20㎝
2. Length of the distended loop; about 45㎝
3. No orga niclesions were found
a brief review of the literatures was made comparing with this case about the general aspect of
a idiopa thic magaclon and other magacolon.
